"We attended one of Steve's courses in September 2009 and thought it was an
excellent course.
We were both complete novices and had never done any
painting before and didn't think we possessed any artistic talents at all.
This did not phase Steve at all and he was completely comfortable with our
lack of skills and knowledge and nothing seemed too much of a challenge for
him. His artistic knowledge and his local knowledge (essential for knowing
where the weather/painting conditions would be best) were fantastic.
We signed up for two days and found that the second day helped us build on
the knowledge that we'd learnt in the first day - we also had the luxury of
painting a totally different landscape. The course covers everything the
literature says it will and Steve also supplies you with details of the
equipment that you use which will be useful if we decided to purchase this
in the future. We also picked up tips for looking at other paintings and
certainly see pictures in galleries in a different light now!
The North Devon coast is very beautiful and this course certainly allows you
taste this. Overall an excellent course and one that we'd recommend to
anyone who wants to try impressionist painting.

"My son and I attended 2 magical days on a Coastal Painting course with Steve in August.
We were very impressed with the professionalism and skill with which Steve quickly put the group at ease and created a good working environment. His helpful guidance and constructive feedback was very illuminating and enabled us to quickly build our skills.
